Menuwriter is a Drupal module that dynamically generates images for menu items. It is designed for use on sites that want a fancy, graphic based menu and where slower page loads are acceptable e.g. a brouchure site for a photographer or an artist.
In the past there have been modues that allowed you to assign images to menu items but you still had to create the images.
Menuwriter is fully dynamic. You provide a background (if you like) and define the colours for the different states (normal, hover and active) and Menuwriter creates the images and caches them for future use. If the menu item title is changed a new image is created. So a user can add a page and create a menu item and the image will be generated and added to the menu automatically.
